Originally from Upstate New York, Kathryn moved to Stuart as a child and has resided here for the past 30 years. Kathryn graduated from Martin County High School and pursued her Nursing degree at Florida State University where she graduated with Honors in 2007. After graduation, Kathryn was employed in Martin Memorial’s Surgical Neurological Intensive Care Unit for 5 years before returning to school for her Master’s degree. She has a sincere love for elders and became a certified Geriatric Nurse Practitioner in 2013. She split her time between a busy primary care office and doing house calls for seniors who were unable to leave their home. Shortly after, Kathryn resumed her education in pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing degree with an emphasis on End of Life Care and Decision Making. Kathryn completed her Doctorate in Nursing in 2015 from Florida Atlantic University. Kathryn is pleased to join her family and their passion for exceptional health care at Companion Care of the Treasure Coast.
Linda brings to Companion Care over 40 years of nursing experience. Raised and educated in the Fingerlakes Region of Upstate New York, Linda worked for many years in Intensive Care before relocating to Stuart, FL in 1992 with her young family. In 2002, Jim and Linda established OxyPros Plus, a medical equipment company serving the communities of the Treasure Coast. Seeing a need for the same excellence in homecare services, Companion Care of the Treasure Coast was born. When not at OxyPros Plus, or Companion Care of the Treasure Coast, Linda can be found at the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic where she has been an RN volunteer service since its inception in 1995. Together with her husband Jim, Co-founder of CCTC, their passion and commitment bring exceptional care to our senior population. They take pride in the process of matching caregivers with our unique clients.
Jim Westcott is the owner and managing member of Companion Care of the Treasure Coast. Jim has devoted his entire working career in the field of home healthcare as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. In 2002, Jim founded Oxypros Plus, a medical equipment provider specializing in oxygen, respiratory and sleep apnea therapy services on the Treasure Coast. During this time, Jim discovered the need for qualified caregivers to provide medical and companion care for seniors having special needs. As a result, Companion Care of the Treasure Coast was formed. Jim is especially confident in CCTC with his wife and daughter’s combined nursing experience to spearhead this exceptional team. Jim believes clients needing CCTC will find it to be a rewarding and enriching experience.
