Patient Care Advocate
Born and raised in Florida, Jeff spent his days surfing the beaches of Martin County and enjoying all the coastal activities this town has to offer. After graduating Martin County High School, Jeff attended Rollins College where he obtained a Bachelors in Political science with a minor in communications. Jeff pursued a career in home medical equipment and eventually transitioned into hospice care. It was in hospice care that Jeff found his true calling for helping patients and families during their most difficult and trying times. During this period, he saw the need for a small personalized concierge private duty service to help families with the extra care needed at home. In a community that has given so much to him and his family, his biggest joy is providing the best level of care for the residents of Martin County.
Kassie along with her brother Jeff grew up in Palm City and continues to reside in Stuart with her family. She graduated from Martin County High School and pursued her Nursing degree at Florida State University where she graduated with Honors in 2007. After graduation, Kassie was employed in Martin Memorial’s Surgical Neurological Intensive Care Unit for 5 years before returning to school for her Master’s degree. She has a sincere love for elders and became a certified Geriatric Nurse Practitioner in 2013. She split her time between a busy primary care office and doing house calls for seniors who were unable to leave their homes. Shortly after, Kassie resumed her education in pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing degree with an emphasis on End of Life Care and Decision Making. Kassie completed her Doctorate in Nursing in 2015 from Florida Atlantic University. Kassie is pleased to join her family and their passion for exceptional health care at Companion Care of the Treasure Coast.

As our Case Manager, Shyla oversees and manages each client’s needs daily ensuring that caregivers are matched according to needs and level of care. She is pleased to work closely with our CCTC families and is a huge asset to our team.
